Allen VINYL-Freunden können wir ab sofort einen ganz großartigen Service anbieten: Aus wirtschaftlichen Gründen macht es oft keinen Sinn, LPs eines Albums zu pressen, und so haben wir nun die Möglichkeit gerschaffen, Einzelfertigungen anzubieten, und zwar nicht nur von allen Neuheiten im Blue Rose-Katalog, sondern auch von vielen bisher erschienenen CDs bieten wir Vinyl-LP-Ausgaben an! Dabei handelt es sich um keine Produktionen "von der Stange", sondern jede LP wird speziell für den jeweiligen Kunden einzeln gefertigt, auf dem LP-Etikett wird der Name des Bestellers aufgedruckt sein. Schweres 180g-Vinyl findet Verwendung, und bei den heutigen Laufzeiten einer CD wird es sich dabei überwiegend um 2-LP-Sets handeln. Nicht mehr auf CD erhältliche Blue Rose-Alben werden extra für die Your Personal Vinyl Edition-Serie wieder aus den Archiven geholt.
Was wurden wir hier im alten Europa von den Landsleuten von Steve Wynn und Dan Stuart beneidet, als sie im April als DANNY & DUSTY in Deutschland, Großbritannien oder den Niederlanden live zu bewundern waren. Vor mehr als 21 Jahren trat die "Band" bei insgesamt 3 Konzerten in Los Angeles auf, sonst nirgends, und nun das! Und nicht einmal der Hauch der Ankündigung von US-Konzerten! Wir sind manchmal schon verwöhnt. Doch jetzt kann nicht nur den Fans über dem großen Teich und auf der restlichen Welt geholfen werden, sondern auch all denjenigen, die die Live-Shows hierzulande verpasst haben. Denn uns war klar, dass wir die wahrscheinlich einmalige Chance nutzen mussten und eine der Shows für die Nachwelt festzuhalten.
Für unsere Pläne perfekt war der große Saal im Nürnberger Kommunikationszentrum "K4" - passende Bühne, gutes Licht, sympathischer Veranstalter. Also mit der eingespielten Blue Rose-Videocrew und 7 (!) Kameras sowie "Recording Magician" Andy Horn am 19. April ins Frankenland gefahren. Das Sextett um Dan Stuart, Steve Wynn, Chris Cacavas (Keyboards), Stephen McCarthy (Gitarre, Lap Steel), Bob Rupe (Bass) sowie Johnny Hott am Schlagzeug war gut aufgeräumt und bot eine starke 110 Minuten-Show, die ausschließlich Songs aus den beiden Danny & Dusty-Alben The Lost Weekend und Cast Iron Soul enthielt (plus dem unveröffentlichten Stück "Honey In My Tea").
Die komplette Show liegt nun vor in Form einer Audio-Doppel-CD sowie als DVD im 5.1 Surround Sound in einer dem Anlass entsprechenden hochwertigen Verpackung (nachdem wir Bruce Springsteen's Live In Dublin-Set gesehen hatten, wollten wir etwas in der Richtung machen, nur einen Tick umfangreicher, was uns, denken wir, gelungen ist).
Bei der Namensgebung des Live-Sets war es Dan Stuart höchstpersönlich, der dem Nürnberger Fußball-Hero Max Morlock ein kleines Denkmal setzen wollte, und schlug den Titel vor. Zunächst Verblüffung, dann Zustimmung, letztendlich Begeisterung, was sich auch im Cover-Artwork ausdrückt.
As probably the first record label in Germany, maybe even in the world, we give our customers the opportunity to order custom made 7" singles and complete albums. Not only new Blue Rose releases will be covered but also previously released CDs will be available on vinyl. Each item of these custom LPs is a unique copy, done by request only and the name of the customer will appear on the LP label. Heavy 180g vinyl will be used, since the running times are between 50 and 60 minutes these days most of the available vinyl editions will be 2-LP sets.

The 2-CD+DVD collection is available in stores all over Europe only and right here at the Blue Rose webshop. The performance features the same fine band that played on Cast Iron Soul (Steve Wynn, Dan Stuart, Stephen McCarthy, Chris Cacavas, Bob Rupe and Johnny Hott) and was assembled by the same audio and video wizards that put together Live Tick by Steve Wynn & The Miracle 3 last year.
Oh, and Max Morlock? Well, I bet some of you football fans already know but ol' Max was a star of the Nuremberg team back in the 50s and member of the team who won the World Cup in Bern/Switzerland in 1954.
